PPMSM has six educational programs across the affiliate that train youth to become peer educators. After 40 hours of training, the peer eds hold information sessions for their individual peers, youth groups and the community.
Ann Arbor’s peer education program is celebrating its 31st year, making it the oldest program in Michigan. Last year, PPMSM’s educators served nearly 19,000 students and community members affiliate-wide. The affiliate has three health centers in Washtenaw County — two in Ann Arbor and one in Ypsilanti.
